Wow! The second languages contribution this week! I’m thrilled! The open source web photo gallery phTagr.org got its Russian translation, thanks to Eugene Pazhitnov. Eugene enjoys phtagr and says:
Thanks a lot for a web gallery that perfectly fits all my needs! Just finished importing of all my collection from NAS and found it very convenient to set tags, categories and rotate the photos made by older camera.

Since a couple of days the awesome web photo gallery has a French language support. Thanks to François Elie who contributed the French translation – he did a really great work! If your browser prefers the French language and you use the newest version (or on your next update) the web gallery responses in French automatically.

I’m pleased to announce that phTagr has now an Polish translation – many thanks to Bartosz Fenski (aka fEnIo) for his time. The fresh baked zip file could be downloaded from SourceForge.

I’m happy to announce that phTagr has now an Estonian translation. Thanks to Craig for his great work who found also lots of missing translation texts. The fresh baked zip file could be downloaded from SourceForge. For upgrade information please have a look at our wiki page.

Further, phTagr supports now the media selection by the upload folder. This feature is very useful for albums which are ordered by folder. The folder link could be found by media detail tab in the media view.
I’m very happy to announce that phTagr speaks now Dutch, which was contributed from Remy Wetzels. It’s the first language contribution from the community. Thank you very much! I’m very pleased. The updated version could be downloaded from SourceForge.net.

Since r523 phTagr supports multi-languages and supports initially German besides English. A new wikipage describes how to create translations for your language. Please do not hesitate to contribute to this great project and send your language files to translation [AT] phtagr.org.
Thanks to cakePHP which has a build in language detector. If phTagr supports the language of your browser, phTagr will answer in your language.
